Jennifer Hudson remembered her late brother, Jason Hudson, on what would have been his 45th birthday. She posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) with two pictures of him. In one, he’s smiling wearing a black T-shirt and leather jacket. In the other, he’s wearing a “Detroit” jacket and eating.
Jennifer said, “My brother Jason would have turned 45 today! He loved basketball, so I celebrate his birthday during NBA All-Star weekend. Happy birthday in heaven, Jason!”
Jennifer recently mentioned on The Jennifer Hudson Show that she’d be playing in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in memory of Jason. He, along with her mother and nephew, was tragically killed in 2008. The person responsible, William Balfour, is serving a life sentence.
She said, “His birthday was February 17th, and he loved basketball too. So, in his honor, I celebrate his birthday this way.”
Jennifer announced her participation in the NBA All-Star Basketball Team, aiming to make her brother and son proud. She’s training hard and seeking advice from professionals like Derek Fisher and Chris “Lethal Shooter” Matthews.
She emphasized her dedication, saying, “I want to make my brother proud on his heavenly birthday. And when I become the MVP, I’ll share all about it!”
